Refurbishment of Son Puigdorfila Vell - AULETS

The buildings of Son Puigdorfila Vell originate in the fourteenth century. The oil mill was added in the sixteenth century and the complex was remodelled again at the end of the nineteenth century. For centuries the cycles of construction and production were closely tied to the material, energy and seasonal rhythms of the surrounding landscape. When agricultural activity declined in the mid-twentieth century the estate was abandoned, beginning a slow process of deterioration. In 2018 work began on the recovery of the complex with the reconstruction of the roofs of the agricultural buildings.
