Description

Renovation of Mas Geli

Atop the ruins of Mas Geli, an old Empordà style farmhouse of which the only remaining elements were two façades with buttresses and a few spaces with stone vaults, a new house is built, reinterpreting certain values of the vernacular architecture without setting aside the contemporary character of the project. The design aims to be coherent with the context, seeking to integrate the new farmhouse in the exceptional landscape of the Baix Empordà region, a series of agricultural spaces with the distant (but constant) presence of age-old farmhouses tucked perfectly into the landscape.
