40 Social Housing Units in El Masnou - PERIS+TORAL

Set in Maresme —a region shaped by its coastal proximity, steep terrain and seasonal watercourses— Air Passage comprises 40 social housing units, a future public facility, commercial space and under-ground car park. In contrast to the L-shaped building on a base envisaged by the urban plan, the project breaks the building into two volumes. A diagonal passage opens up the corner, extending Ciutat Reial Street, turning the facility's roof into a public square, and weaving the adjacent municipal sports complex into the fabric of the town centre.
