Description

Alwah House

A flower and a life-sustaining oasis are the points of reference for this house in the desert of Dubai. Like a melting pot where life comes into being, a hollow is created to retain water, colonized by vegetation and a blend of porous rock. Its interior is occupied by an exploration of non-orthogonal verticality with unexpected relationships. The design forms patios and pathways that lead to the discovery of unexpected spaces, revealing radial sightlines that, while respecting the private areas, offer unique views of the exterior and interior simultaneously.
