On this site, the logic of the agricultural model and its interaction with the natural cycles contrasts with the inhibition of urban growth models. This proposal raises issues in the intermediate spaces, the transitions, the thresholds, like a bridge or a link that establishes continuities and non-stagnations in an attempt to open up the boundaries between different realities.
Each of the two ground + 3-floor buildings contains ten apartments per floor. A gentle embankment feeds light and natural air into the car park. A small poplar coppice is planted on this inclined plane to provide shelter from the afternoon sun in the west. The entrances and community spaces are designed to be places for interactions: intermediate zones between the dwellings and the outside world. Corrugated steel mesh on the walkway responds in differing densities to the requirements (handrails, lattices, balconies, drip irrigation, etc.). It can even hold colonies of plants which combine with the poplars to provide much-appreciated cooling to zones whose orientation requires this in the hot seasons.
