The Frame. Holiday Retreat in Imaduwa

Located in a farming community in the Imaduwa Galle District, this is a second home and retreat space for a Sri Lankan ethno musician and jazz drummer. The plot, abandoned for decades because of constant flooding, is on the clients’ ancestral lands, in the lowland wet zone of Sri Lanka about 60 km from Singharaja Rainforest. The client wanted to reclaim this land, near a creek surrounded by brush, in order to renew his connection to the village where he had spent his childhood.
