The programme, the structure, the construction and the comfort of these eight subsidised public social housing units for rent are resolved with a unitary strategy arising from the qualities of the materials used.
The project demonstrates the feasibility of incorporating compression structures in housing projects as the main measure to obtein thermal inertia and to stay cool in summer using an envelope that is as heavy as possible with the lowest possible carbon footprint. This mechanism is complemented by cross-ventilation using the sea breeze (Embat).
