Palace-House Paredes-Saavedra
The Paredes-Saavedra Palace House is a small urban fortress located within the walled perimeter of the city of Cáceres. Built between the 15th and 16th centuries, it is organized across three storeys around a small asymmetrical interior atrium with an open courtyard in the back. The house is the result of a sequence of spaces built at different times, a series of additions that gave rise to an asymmetrical organization of the structural load-bearing walls. The tower, finished under the reign of the Catholic Monarchs, is a significant example of civil architecture in Cáceres.
