Mazaua - Manuel Cervantes

Located between two natural streams in the mountains of Valle de Bravo, two hours from Mexico City, Mazaua is a project that blurs the boundaries between architecture and landscape. From its initial conception, as a master plan for holiday homes, through to its consolidation as a series of dispersed structures, the construction takes on a secondary role with respect to the landscape. Rather than a built object, the architecture is understood as a topographic and atmospheric extension of the natural surroundings.
