Every conversation involves companionship, debate and going round and round an issue. A conversation, unlike a talk or a monologue, is open and pursues nothing more than the discovery of things in their context. In a conversation, we exchange points of view and delve into the meanings of words. The words themselves, like their hearers, take part in the dialogue. Language also converses in a conversation.

Both founders of TEd’A arquitectes, Irene Pérez Piferrer and Jaume Mayol Amengual, were born in 1976.2 They studied together at the Escuela Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Vallès (2001 and 2000, with Jaume Mayol taking a PhD in 2010). They also share a Catalan heritage: Barcelona and Montuïri, Majorca are their respective home towns.
